NRK, british label based on Bristol, celebrates at best its tenth anniversary thanks to a compilation composed by 3 cds with unmixed tracks and this surely will make happy a great number of persons who for a reason or for an another one lose, some releases of this label. The 28 selected tracks are the proof that the music proposed by NRK was always "global" house music, not ignoring any branch of the genre and I believe that is one of strongest points, especially for the proposal of records by the innovative and, in the same time elegant, "touché". It makes a great impression to see so many important names together, who contributed for the history of this label and, why not, for the spreading of house music all over the world: from one part we have people like Nick Holder, Miguel Migs, Joey Negro, Ian Pooley together with two great new entries (Kerri Chandler and Quentin Harris) for the soulful/deep house, instead from the another "tech" side we can met dj/producers like Francois Kevorkian, Peace Division, Audio Soul Project, Buick Project, David Alvarado, Magik Johnson, Pete Heller, Ricky Montanari & Davide Ruberto, Radio Slave and others. The tracks, that we can find, goes from modern anthems like Quentin Harris' "Let's Be Young", Kerri Chandler's "Bar A Thym", Rulers Of The Deep's "Last Survivor" to classics like Kevorkian's "Time & Space", Nick Holder's "No More Dating Djs" e Audio Soul Project's "Community". As already said there are no words to describe the tracklist of the 3 cds. The compilation is also available in its digital version, for who would buy the single mp3s, and in addition the are two vinyls in the 10" format for the most passionated collectors. There are no particular suggestions: the only tip is to buy this compilation in order to improve your musical culture in the extended field of house music!
