Code E - "Mezzanine" [Mule Electronic]

It’s wrong to think that fulcrum of the whole underground music scene is only under Europe and United States. Also in Japan there are producers who are able to make us travelling with our minds: it is the case of “Mezzanine” which is perfectly possible to catalogue in a progressive house context. Listening carefully the original version, my ear perceived a work which isn’t possible to assign to the last hour producer; Nobuhiko Tamura aka Code E is a respectable sound designer from Tokyo who has under his belt several productions among which those on the historical R&S records, Peacefrog, Third Ear and the last one released for Mule Electronic, included this latest one! The vinyl contains also Rob Mello’s remix who don’t displease me at all: the pad atmospheres passes in second floor due to the sounds which become more minimal. Umpteenth confirmation of the validity of made in Japan underground productions!
