Audision - "Forty-one Spalding" [&nd]

Under the name Audision they hide two German producers from Hamburg, or rather Niko Tzoukmanis e Tobias Schmid. After they achieved great success with “Vanish” (I remember you this track has been included in François Kevorkian’s “Frequencies” compilation), the two come back on the scene with this brand new ep of 4 tracks which are: “Forty-one Spalding”, “Info View”, “Drunk On Beauty” e “FFM by Night”. The wave sounds emitted from this records depart from a definite hinge that is techno music, whose deepness immediately goes connected to Moritz Von Oswald’s (Basic Channel) strong inspiration which Niko & Tobias revisited in the best possible way, and other than having added elements coming from acid house, they reshuffled the whole allowing every listener to enter in a new journey dimension. Excellent!!!

Tracklist:
1. "Forty One Spalding"

2. "Info View"

3. "Drunk On Beauty"

4. "FFM By Night"

Kevin Yost - Bongo Madness 11 [I! Recordings]

The majority of you know who is Kevin Yost, one of the most talented US dj/producer, and which is the starting point of the series named Bongo Madness, always animated by percussions. This #11 presents us two different tracks: on the A side there is “Darkness Into Light” so inspired by jazz, on the B side instead we can find “The Punisher”, a production more afro than ever. As usual Kevin Yost delights us with his releases of quality!

Tracklist:
1. "Darkness Into Light"

2. "The Punisher"

Paulo Olarte - "Solu Tu" [Fresh Fish]

There are many analogous precedents which demonstrate the possibility to amalgamate latin sounds together with electronic music. This is also the case of “Solo Tu” which offers us an excellent mix of electro, funk and tech sounds and its icing on the cake is surely the vocal. Very good the Isoleè’s performance who confirms all the expectations as a great remixer.

Tracklist:
1. Isoleè remix

2. Paulo Olarte original mix 2004

John Daly - "Mesa" [Feel]

Also this time John Daly marvels us with his music. Before putting the cartridge on this vinyl, hang in and fasten your seat belts because you will fly high here. This musical dream called “Mesa” is presented in two versions: the first is the original mix instead the second one could be named as its “Ambient mix”. Super release!!!

Tracklist:
1. mix 1

2. mix 2

Einzelkind - "La Fiebre Del Loco EP" [Kindisch]

Kindisch is a sublabel of the well-known Get Physical but its releases are so particular and have a more underground touch than the other ones coming from the mother label. Several Kindisch releases have been produced by Einzelkind, duo composed by Arno Volker & Miguel Ayala. “La Fiebre Del Loco EP” is a crossover among house music, minimal and latin sounds. The three tracks, which set up the 12”, are “Maferefumeco”, “La Fiebre Del Loco” and “Paperboy”: they are all of excellent quality but if I should suggest one of them, I choose the first track!

Tracklist:
1. "Maferefumeco"

2. "La Fiebre Del Loco"

3. "Paperboy"

Rocco - "The Club Culture EP" [Freerange]

Rocco shores on a respected label, as Freerange records, with this brand new deep house project, well dressed by electro influences. “The Club Culture EP” presents us 3 tracks: “Stormy” and its remix produced by 3 Channels, plus “The Revolution”. The original versions of these tracks have a soft refined feeling sound; instead the remix, which I previously quoted, it’s a downright icebreaker for the dancefloor.

Tracklist:
1. "Stormy"

2. "Stormy" (3 Channels remix)

3. "The Revolution"

Jesse Rose & Oliver S - "Wake Up" [Made To Play]

Hammering rhythm, hypnotic groove and a password: it’s enough very little or better 3 elements in order to succeed to create a functional production for the dancefloor. “Wake Up” belong to the series of winning releases made by Jesse Rose, one of the most rated British djs but from several years transplanted in the German capital which is at the moment one of most prolific city on a musical level.

Tracklist:
1. "Wake Up"

Boddhi Satva - Bria's Offering [Yoruba]

With the arrival of summer the sounds are feebler, the melodies more relaxing and the rhythms latinazing. Within this holiday background the Yoruba records productions express the maximum of their potential. It’s Boddhi Satva’s turn who delight us with this 10” of 4 tracks: it’s to possible to establish a parallel between the A-side, which contains “Bria’s Offering” and “Talisman”, and the other one, who presents “Medicine” e “O Ke Do Ko”, considering that the refinement of the first two is set against the impulsiveness of the other ones.

Tracklist:
1. "Bria's Offering"

2. "Talisman"

3. "Medicine"

4. "O De Ko Do"

Sascha Dive - "Down Edit" [Raum]

After his first ep, “Basic Collective pt.1” on Deep Vibes, the German young producer Sascha Dive reconfirms his self to the highest levels thanks to this brand new release and also for this time the sound proposed is made in Detroit. The enthralling and hypnotic “Down Edit” will make lose your head… Trust me! On the b-side there is also Argy’s remix who transformed the original project for a dancefloor more accustomed to electro and techno sounds.

Tracklist:
1. original mix

2. Argy remix

Dot Wiggin - "T-Rex" [New Kanada]

We have little to say about a record which simply gets to be listened: this Canadian young label reaches its seventh release with “T-Rex” produced by Dot Wiggin. There are 3 versions which has basically inspired both from the Detroit new movement and from the same local underground scene: the deep and dirty sound presents us the original mix as the finest version among the three ones, instead with Adam Marshall rework you will be trashed by a stormy tide made of percussions; to end Jeff Milligan offers us the same track with the most absolute minimalism.

Tracklist:
1. original mix

2. Adam Marshall rework

3. Jeff Milligan remix

Dinky - "Ringing" [Horizontal]

The Chilean Alejandra Iglesias, aka Dinky, is a much respected dj in German underground scene. NY by adoption, her sound is strongly inspired by US house and Detroit techno. Her first journey to Germany was really fatal for her since she decided to begin this career after has listened djs like Sven Vath, dj Hell and Stacey Pullen. She has several productions on her credit released by important labels as Traum Schaallplatten and Cocoon; her records are in the playlists of people like the already mentioned Sven Vath, her countrymen Ricardo Villalobos and Luciano, Timo Maas and Loco Dice. The curriculum has already said us enough and now it’s possible to begin speaking about this record, “Ringing”, released on Horizontal, label owned by the same Dinky. The EP (a double vinyl) includes 4 tracks: it begins with the deep and jazzy “Horizontal”, wherein is possible to notice the strong NY influence of this artist; it goes on with two minimal and hypnotic tracks, or rather “Lazed” and “Ringing”; it concludes with the experimental “Jack” which can be considered as her personal interpretation of Chicago house.

Tracklist:
1. "Horizontal"

2. "Lazed"

3. "Ringing"

4. "Jack"

Luna City Express feat. Diamond Dancer - "R.E.M." [Justified Cause]

The German duo of Luna City Express (Marco Resmann & Norman Weber) delight us with “R.E.M.”, a pure house music track with dark and deep atmospheres, as well as a speech which seem to remember records coming from other ages. The project has been released on Justified Cause, based in Barcelona (city where some weeks ago held Sonar, one of the most important European electronic music festival), label which despite his youth is establishing itself on the international scene thanks to artists like Dj Ino and Garcynoise, both coming from the Iberican peninsula. “R.E.M.” will be printed on two parts: the first one contains the original mix and “Davomat remix”, similar to the first one even if it has a more forceful rhythmic; the second instead with Ino’s remix, in tune with the works of Dixon’s Innervisions, as well as “Garcynoise & Pablo Olivar retouch” which allows the use of this track for the djs who loves hardest and techest sounds. And to finish the acapella!!!

Tracklist:
1. original mix

2. Davomat remix

3. Papa Ino rework

4. GarcyNoise & Pablo Bolivar Retouch
