Regarding the musical panorama, Detroit has been always a spearhead city, an out-and-out laboratory where people still now continues to forge and experiment some inedited, alternative sound forms. The new school surely has the hard work to compete with the hanged past represented by people like Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson and Carl Craig (just to name someone), but this absolutely can’t hide the worth of these no fool youngsters. Marcellus “Malik” Pittman perfectly succeeds to hypnotize the listener through his two magic wands called “There’s Somebody Out There” and “Chicago Nights”, which are true explosive mixtures to launch on the dancefloor!
