Ibadan goes back to its original sound after the releases of some more experimental productions. This brand new EP bears the name of the first track, or rather the name of the new project started by label boss Jerome Sydenham together with Willie Graff & T. Tauri. We can delight us with the 4 tracks present: “Brokeback” is surely the most pushed and the most experimental; after which we find old-school at the pure state thanks to the beats of “36 Degrees”, Jerome Sydenham & Kerri Chandler’s old production. On the b side pay attention to “Your House”, a goose bumps remix released by *****L (better known as Ricky L, dj of the famous Red Zone club in Perugia) who has been the first Italian ended up on a label which normally don’t open the doors to all foreigners; you must surely recognize the voice of this song (it’s the Canadian singer Alanis Morrisette). To finish there is also a taste of Detroit (Moodymann & Theo Parrish style) with Tony Watson’s “Passages”.
Tracklist:
1. Brokeback - "Brokeback"
2. Kerri Chandler - "36 Degrees" (London Beats)
3. "Your House" (remix By *****L)
4. Tony Watson - "Passages"
